She worked as a SASS crisis counselor as well as in private practice and a skilled nursing facility. She has experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, communication breakdown, life transitions, and challenges as well as stress. She has also worked in several different settings including schools, hospitals, emergency rooms, group homes as well as private offices and can collaborate well with other service providers for a team approach to treating each individual. Agnes believes that each person is unique in regards to their personality, issues, and style of coping. Her approach is based on this belief and is tailored to each individual and their needs. She also believes that a major component in a successful treatment is a strong and collaborative client-therapist relationship. She works to make sure that each person feels seen, validated, understood, and most importantly empowered. She is empathic, non-judgmental, and easygoing. She wants each person to feel comfortable and safe to speak their truth.
Agnes tends to use a goal-oriented and strength-based approach to assist each client in reaching their goals and living their best life. She understands that each person may be at a different point in their life and attempts to meet them where they are in the process by being either nurturing or more direct as needed. She became a therapist to help people feel like they have a choice in what their lives look like and assist them to find the strength that they have had in them all along.
